{"id":174,"date":"2021-05-19T16:29:34","date_gmt":"2021-05-19T16:29:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jalehesfahani.com\/en\/?p=174"},"modified":"2021-06-24T10:08:36","modified_gmt":"2021-06-24T10:08:36","slug":"a-brief-report-on-the-foundations-11th-poetry-prize-event-january-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jalehesfahani.com\/en\/2021\/05\/19\/a-brief-report-on-the-foundations-11th-poetry-prize-event-january-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"A brief report on the Foundation\u2019s 11th Poetry Prize Event (29 January 2021)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>A brief report on the Foundation\u2019s 11<sup>th<\/sup> young poets\u2019 contest held on the 29 January 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/jalehesfahani.bonyad\/videos\/3729970737068061\">The event&#8217;s video, in Persian, can be viewed by clicking here<\/a><\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 11<sup>th<\/sup> poetry contest was held via Zoom application and viewed\nby hundreds of poetry enthusiasts in the 3 countries of Iran, Afghanistan,\nTajikistan and around the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The contest which hosted by Mr Hadi Shafie and Ms Maryam Araam (last year\nwinner from Iran), both poets and both members of the poetry contest\nsecretariat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Dehbashi of the Bokhara Cultural Centre, who is well known and well\nfamiliar with the cultural circles of Tajikistan and Afghanistan spoke of the\nimportance of the cultural alliance among the three Persian speaking countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A video of the debate and discussion among the judges from the three\ncountries was shown. The judges had the opportunity to read the work of each\ncontestant from the relevant country and select the winners in the two genres\nof classic and modern Persian poetry. The final statement was read by one of the\njudges in which the panel of judges praised the content, depth and the\nimagination of the participants and how it made it difficult to select the\n\u201cbest\u201d from among so many talents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The judges statement also added that selecting winners from each country\nwas carried out separately, as the language of the poems were influenced by the\ncultural as well as the socio-political situation in each country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The judges emphasised that the participants\u2019 quality of work in each\ncountry demonstrates that all of them were in the forefront of promoting\nPersian poetry and the contest can be considered as the beginning of a road to\nflourishing in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The judges wished the Foundation would be able to continue its work into\nthe future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this point two winners from Iran and Afghanistan and one from Tajikistan\nwere named and introduced to the
